Anyway, I've had large container envy for a while and after reading about how to cold brew iced coffee (a process that involves two of these containers), I was sold. So, they are great for cold brew coffee - but I am using them for so much more! I don't have a lot of cabinet space, but I do have a basement. So until I need them, they live on the work bench down there. I used them this week while I was canning 30 lbs of tomatoes (First time trying - not too much of a pain! and I was able to get all my supplies - except the tomatoes - through Amazon) and was SO glad to have containers this big. I made a BIG batch of gazpacho the other week (Note: 8 quarts of gazpacho is a LOT to get through when there is only two of you.) They don't seem to hold on to odors at all.
